Wood Heritage

Niqab Ahmad

My name is Niqab Ahmed representing “WOOD HERITAGE” from Islamabad.

Dealing with wood is our family business and we are quite experienced in this business. For the last 50 years or so we have been providing the best quality work in the field of wood. My late father Siraj Ahmed started this business in 1968 and he was the pioneer to start handicraft business in Swat. The aim of my father was to introduce the culture of Pakistan to the world and to all the people of Pakistan that our country is full of cultural heritage.

This business was named SIRAJ AJAR TAJAR and CO. by my father. Twice in his life, he went on a Europe tour with official delegations to educate European people about Pakistani culture and its handicraft heritage. Following in the footsteps of my late father, I formed a company called WOOD HERITAGE in Islamabad in 2003. Two of my younger brothers joined me in this business. Shah Masood Ahmed and Ahsan Ahmed. Mr. Ahsan Ahmed has the responsibility of collecting old wooden handicrafts from Swat valley.

Our late father had also dealt in hand made carpets business in Peshawar in 1993, aided by Afghan Refugees and certain Turk tribes. This business too flourished and still enjoys a healthy reputation both in Pakistan and other countries of the world.

We believe that our quality of work and commitment make us reliable and trustworthy and we enjoy a strong bond with our customers.
